7.7.1 HTTP PULL Resources : What is Origin?
Posted by on 29 April 2016 10:38 AM

By default, CDN edge nodes use the HTTP protocol to connect to fetch content present in the original data points.

In other words, if CDN edge nodes cannot get the content from the original data points or only content with

HTTPS request, it was impossible to use CDN acceleration service. Therefore, when setting up CDN resources,

please note that the system only accepts original data points (origin) for most of time.

For example,

When you create a CDN resource, you need to fill in the "domain.com" or "subdomain.domain.com"

for the website source, not "domain.com/folder".If you only have a "domain.com/folder" for setting up CDN,

transferring the content from "domain.com/folder" to a subdomain called "folder.domain.com" is recommended.

Then use it to replace the original data points.
