7.9 Creating CDN Resources : HTTP PUSH Resources

After the purchase is done, this article will guide you how to create a PUSH Resource for your CDN.

Please note: One website can only allow using a CDN resource, which means you only can choose PULL or PUSH resource.

 

  • Login Client Area





  • Click“Services” > “My Services”





  • Click“Active”





  • Click“New CDN Resource”



Two different types of CDN resources are for different purposes.

● HTTP PULL Resource
● HTTP PUSH Resource

  • Select the top of“ HTTP “ for HTTP PUSH Resource.



    Please fill in the below info.

    CDN Hostname: Fill in a server's name which you need to speed up. For example: 123.com.tw
                              If you have more than one websites need to be set up, please go to “Advanced Setting” to fill in. 

    Origin: 
    No need to fill in.


    FTP Password: Fill in a password for upload via FTP.

    SSL Mode: Without SSL is recommended.
                      This will be related to the address of the file you upload.
                      Note: Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 

 

  • Tick the checkbox of the edge groups you wish your content to serve from.
    Click "Create CDN Resource".

    Note:
    CDN service goes with prepaid credits and an invoice will be generated every day, the balance will recalculated right after.



 

  • Click“Details” to review more details. 
    For settings  management, click “Edit” or “Delete”



  • Find the“DNS Settings”,
    then you need to update the below info. on the website of your DNS. 

    Now all the setting has been done.

    Please note: 
    Your domain is may from another provider so you need to contact them directly 
    if you are not sure how to set up the DNS information.



    The numbers right after CNAME is the username of FTP.
    FTP Hostname is USERNAME .origin.cdntogo.net
    FTP connection port is 21.

    It will take 20~30 minutes to upload completely, then you can read the file via URL.

    The URL starts with “http://” when the resource without SSL, 
    and starts with “https://” when it with SSL.


    URL =  http://(or https://)CDN Hostname/Filename

    For example:

    103754887.r.cdntogo.net is the CNAME for evita.nimbus.com.tw.
    FTP Username: 103754887
    FTP Hostname: 103754887.origin.cdntogo.net
    FTP Password: As your set
    FTP Connect Port: 21
    Upload file name: Birdy.mp3
    Hostname: evita.nimbus.com.tw
    SSL Mode: Without SSL

    >>> URL= http://evita.nimbus.com.tw/Birdy.mp3
    Note: No blank in file name
